Hanoi Old Quater Central Hotel

Do Not Trust Photos Hotel Posted, ALL CHEATED!! I stayed 4 nights there, a very small and local family run hotel. No elevator and only 2 rooms on each floor. Room door is a wooden door which is damaged and no soundproofing. My room is on 2nd floor which I heard their child playing downstairs every night. All furniture in room were old and worn-out. TV and fridge are damaged and not functioning. Bed linens are tattered and the towel are feel like mouldy. Mosquito is everywhere and no window you can closed. The toilet was definitely the worst. Water leaking from bathroom to bedroom after I had showered on 1st night. I asked the lady and she told me only can stand inside which next to the toilet bowl to avoid water leaking. The whole experience is a nightmare. The only good points for the hotel are the location and price. But definitely not recommended unless you have no money and no rooms can be found in town.

It is strange that people give such good reviews about this accommodation. The photos on Booking.com are nothing like what you will get. When you squeeze past the motorbikes blocking the front door you will be met by a couch that has probably never been cleaned and small children jumping on the couch yelling and playing. Get used to this as you will hear a lot of it. Be prepared for the stair case , it gives a great leg work out but certainly not suitable for people with any knee issues. The manager of the hotel assisted with the bags. Once you get to your room the fun begins. Dark, gloomy, smells of stagnant water, Bathroom floor has a drain in the floor on the opposite side of the bathroom resulting in you flooding the floor when you have a shower ( water pressure was good) Construction work going on next door so day 1 the noise in our room was overwhelming and the room shook. Cleanliness - cracked toilet, mould at base of taps and gritty floor. TV wants working and took a few days to have that replaced. Paid for breakfast and had it once. Although it says breakfast available what that meant was leaving the hotel and going to another hotel , owned by the same person, a few streets away. When they say you get what you pay for this is certainly the case. Buyer beware because the photos are not reflective of the reality

Booked this hotel based on the pictures on booking.com and let's just say ive well and truly learnt my lesson in never trust the pictures. We booked this place for 5 nights and only lasted 3! The room had holes all over the side of the ceiling as if it was getting renovated. There was a big crack down the side of the front door. Mosquitoes were EVERYWHERE! Impossible to get rid of due to all the holes in the wall. The Air con constantly dripped water on our faces during the night and you could here all the noise from the street. The only positives was the location!

Worst  hotel i ever had in my life,the room smells so bad,and there is no elevator the area so dark, i didn't stay i just checked i paid through credit card and no refundable.BAD EXPERIENCED IN (OLD QUARTER HOTEL CENTRAL)IN HANOI!Note: In the photo of any booking apps,You can see the room is so clean and looks cozy.BUT NO! Apparemment ils ont changé de nom d'hôtel pour éviter les mauvais avis. C'est moyen, en accord avec le prix. Pas d'ascenseur, j'étais au 6 ème étage, le lit était très confortable, la salle de bains plutôt spacieuse. Rien d'exceptionnel mais c'était prévu vu le prix. La réception n'est pas toujours disponible, le seul vrai point négatif sinon rien de vraiment terrible, c'est juste moyen, mais bien placé et abordable. Pour une nuit ça allait.

Had a pleasant stay here. The lady owner was lovely and super helpful. Only issues we had was being on the 5th floor with no lift was a nightmare in the heat and we had issues with the water going off a couple of times but was told they had replaced their water meter so may have only been a temporary issue. Location was perfect for us as right in the centre of the old quarter but in an alleyway so wasn’t noisy at all

Owned by a lovely family, but unfortunately we didn’t have a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room looked nothing like the photos, felt ‘undone’ and all the furniture in the room looked liked it had it’s best time. Both doors in the room didn’t close properly and because of that the smell from the bathroom - which was already there - seeped into the room.. The doorhandle on the door to the hallway also was about to fall off. The room felt sticky and not thoroughly cleaned after the last guests. Also, there was an undefined stain on the bed that I rather keep undefined. In the hallway to the lobby there was a very unpleasant smell lingering that luckily only lingered there. The family obviously lives on the bottomfloor of the hotel, so be prepared for 3 kids playing and yelling in the lobby (as they should, since they’re children). You wish them the best honestly, since they’re all very sweet, but unfortunately like this the tourists will stay away.

Entspricht nicht den Erwartungen, Bilder täuschen. Es ist sehr abgewohnt und nicht sauber(siehe Bilder). Wir haben direkt wieder ausgecheckt. Die Lage ist wirklich noch das positivste. 3 Sterne für den Service, da ohne große Diskussion unser gehen akzeptiert wurde und wir die Hälfte vom Betrag zurück bekommen haben.
